Irving’s 2012 Transit Plan

Each development in Irving’s Transit Oriented Development portfolio will be more than just a self-contained urban commercial, retail & community development. It will also be a link to the entire Dallas/Fort Worth area. The developments will literally be located in the geographic middle of Texas’ largest population center. In addition to easy access to light rail and the APT, Irving sits at the crossroads of State Highway 114, State Highway 183, loop 12, and just minutes from Interstate Highway 35-E, the site will be less than 35 minutes from anywhere in the Metroplex.

For over a generation Irving has been positioned at the national forefront as a pioneer in transit issues and legislation. For the past ten years, Irving, Texas has been the host city of the Texas Transportation Summit. Federal, state, regional and local elected officials and industry professionals from across the country unite in Irving to discuss every mode of transportation. Issues affecting highways, transit, high-speed rail, seaports, aviation, security, safety and financing are also discussed.
